Accessibility

Made for every way of reading.

A plain-language statement of what we have done, what we have not, and how to ask for help.

함께 배워가요. 천천히 가도 괜찮아요.Let’s learn together. It’s okay to go slowly.

What to expect: No sound unless you press a Hear it or Listen button. Nothing flashes. A slow, gentle zoom on the picture at the top.

What we are aiming for

We aim for every page to meet the WCAG 2.1 AA standard. That means readable colour contrast, text that can be enlarged, pages that work with a keyboard, and meaningful descriptions for pictures.

What is built in

  • A “Skip to content” link on every page, a clear order of headings, and visible focus on every control.
  • Every picture has a description. Pictures that are only decoration are hidden from screen readers.
  • The menu, the greetings and the tools work with a keyboard alone.
  • “Read it your way” at the top of every page: larger text, high contrast and reduce motion. Your choices are saved on your own device only.
  • The site respects your device’s “reduce motion” setting, and as far as we know nothing flashes.
  • Pages work on a small phone screen and print cleanly.
  • Every page has a short line in another language with an English meaning and a “Hear it” button.

Known limits

  • “Hear it” uses the voice built into your device. Some devices do not have a voice for every language, and then the button says so.
  • Some of the language lines are still waiting for a check by a native speaker. We say so where it applies.
  • The Technology page is a draft. It is long and dense, and the plain-language mode is there to help.
  • There are no captions yet because there is no audio or video on the site.
  • The card and printable tools make pictures in your browser. Those pictures cannot always carry full descriptions, so please add your own words.

How we check

We test pages by keyboard, on a phone-sized screen, with large text and with high contrast, and we run an automatic check on every page. This is not the same as a formal audit by an outside expert, and we do not claim one.
